The nail-biting 11-inning matchup that saw the Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 drew a total over 50 million watchers across the US, Canada, and Japanese territories. In Japan, where the deciding game started at 9 PM in the local time zone, it drew 12 million. This came after the previous Friday’s sixth game – where Fall Classic MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto gave up a single run in six innings – drew over 13 million spectators, making it the most-watched World Series game on a sole broadcaster in the country.
